ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER- POWER GENERATION

•	Manage day-to-day operation of captive power plants (Gas Engines, Diesel Generators, Hybrid systems).
•	Ensure 24/7 reliable power supply meeting quality parameters (voltage, frequency, harmonics).
•	Develop and implement operating philosophies, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
•	Optimize generation dispatch based on load demand, fuel cost, and equipment availability.
•	Knowledge of boiler operation
•	Supervise CNG PRMS operation and maintenance as per safety and regulatory standards•	Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
•	Monitor engine performance parameters (load, heat rate, TBN, oil analysis, vibration, etc.).
•	Coordinate major overhauls, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and OEM interactions.
•	Maintain asset registers, maintenance history, and lifecycle cost analysis.•	Manage gas supply arrangements, metering, and interface with gas suppliers.
•	Oversee Gas procurement, storage, quality control, and consumption monitoring.
•	Optimize fuel efficiency and reduce specific fuel consumption (SFC).
•	Track power generation costs and support budgeting and cost-reduction initiatives.•	Coordinate with electrical distribution teams for load allocation and switching operations.
•	Support tenants during power onboarding, load enhancement, and fault resolution.
•	Analyze load profiles and forecast future demand for capacity planning.
•	Ensure adherence to agreed power quality and service level agreements (SLAs).•	Support planning and execution of new power generation projects and upgrades.
•	Participate in EPC/vendor evaluation, technical reviews, and commissioning activities.
•	Drive integration of renewable energy solutions (solar, battery storage, hybrid systems).
•	Prepare technical specifications CAPEX estimates and feasibility studies

Skills:

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in power generation operations • At least 1-2 years in a managerial or leadership role • Hands-on experience with gas engines and off-grid power plants(Jenbacher gas engines preferable) • Experience in industrial parks free zones utilities or IPPs preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (master’s degree is an advantage).
